In addition to our Pack 505 events, membership in Scouting provides many opportunities for our Scouts. These events are not hosted by Pack 505.
Houston Gem and Mineral Society Show
November 9, 2019; Humble Civic Center
The HGMS teaches general geology and basic rock types, properties of minerals and fossils, the economic uses of minerals, types of geoscience careers and requirements to enter this profession, and we start the Scout on acquiring his mineral/fossil collection (the remainder can easily be obtained at the show).

Rocket Days
Scouts who join Cub Scouts this year will receive a rocket that they can design, build, and launch at Rocket Day. Scouts in kindergarten through fifth grade who are interested in joining Scouting may also attend. We will help you find a pack near you and get signed up for Scouting.

Adventure Camp at Bovay Scout Ranch
Adventure Camp, December 6-8, 2019

Adventure Camp is weekend campout for Cub Scouts and their families at Bovay Scout Ranch. Lions, Tigers, Wolves, Bears and Webelos Scouts and their families will enjoy an exciting variety of activities at several program areas. Meals are eaten in the air-conditioned dining hall. A staff member in each area will provide program supplies and support the parents who will be invited to assist in leading the activities.

Space Center Houston Scout Camp-In
Space Center Houston engages Scouts in an interactive and hands-on learning environment. Scouts will have an enriched experience in our Camp-In that teaches Scouts about the science, technology, engineering and mathematics involved with space exploration. Each camp-in is tailored to the individual ages of the Scouts. The activities are badge-inspired, STEM-based and all about space!

Armand Bayou Nature Center

Houston Arboretum & Nature Center

Nature Discovery Center
Den leaders can schedule an outing / meeting at the Nature Discovery Center. Activities here require a 5 Scout minimum. (Our girl Lions den just had a great outing here). Visit the Nature Discovery Center to see what adventures they offer.
